A man was arrested in the Moscow metro on the denunciation of a passenger peeping into his smartphone

The Cheryomushkinsky District Court of Moscow arrested 40-year-old Yury Samoilov for 14 days under an administrative article on the distribution of “extremist materials” after a subway passenger peeping into his smartphone was denounced. This is reported by Novaya Gazeta Europe with reference to the brother of the arrested person, Nikolai Lunchenkov. The message also appeared on the website of the Cheryomushkinsky Court.

Samoilov told his relatives that he had been detained on the morning of 17 March. One of the metro passengers saw on his smartphone images that, in his opinion, "discredited" the Russian army, and called the police.

After a few stations, security forces approached Samoilov and took him away. They looked at the contents of the phone and drew up a report on the distribution of extremist materials.

Literally a few hours later, the court appointed Samoilov an arrest for two weeks, he was taken to the special successor to Sakharovo, where he is still. Relatives learned about the incident by phone call.

Earlier, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Belgorod, Kursk, Oryol and Bryansk regions announced a plan to “intercept” and were looking for a Volkswagen Amarok on a false denunciation. The man who called the police said that "Ukrainian saboteurs" were in the car. However, it turned out that the offended driver called the law enforcement officers, who was cut off on the road by another driver in a Volkswagen.
