Medvedev said that Biden should be overthrown “at Trump’s request”

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said that it is necessary to overthrow the current US President Joe Biden. At the same time, he claims that the post published in his Telegram channel was posted at the request of ex-President Donald Trump, calling him “colonel”.

So Medvedev commented on two news: about the arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin in The Hague, and about Trump's statement that the ex-US president was going to be arrested on March 21. Medvedev also used Trump's political slogan – Make America Great Again, (MAGA, in Russian: "Let's make America great again" or "Let's return America to its former greatness"). Trump used it extensively during the 2016 presidential campaign.

“Assholes in Europe wanted to arrest someone else, and on March 21 they will arrest their own in America. Take back your country, Americans! To battle! Destroy the tyranny of Washington! Send to the stinking dustbin of history a corrupt clique of insane swine-killers – the father and son of the Bidens! MAGA! PS The post was posted at the request of US presidential candidate Colonel Daniil Fedorovich Trump," Medvedev wrote.

Earlier on March 18, Trump announced that he was going to be detained as part of the trial on March 21. The text of the post from his social network Truth Social is published by Reuters. Trump claims that he became aware of the impending detention thanks to "illegal leaks" from the Manhattan District Attorney's office. He called on his supporters to protest. With what kind of case the possible arrest is connected, the former American leader did not specify. Trump's spokesman later said the ex-president had not received formal notice of the charges, CNN reported.

Earlier, the Manhattan District Attorney's office called Trump to testify in the case of "payments for silence." We are talking about the case in which in 2018 the former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen received three years in prison. In court, Cohen said he paid money to keep silent to several women who were about to come forward about an intimate relationship with Trump. CNN claims that Trump could be charged in this case, after which he is likely to be released on bail.

Elon Musk tweeted that if Trump is detained, the politician will win the US presidential election in 2024.

In December 2022, it was reported that a company linked to Yevgeny Prigozhin’s Internet Research Agency (“troll factory”) once again tried to use social media to covertly influence right-wing audiences in the United States and subsequently the presidential election in the United States. A joint report on this was published by the analytical company Graphika Inc and Stanford University.

In early 2017, a dossier on Trump was published, authored by former British intelligence officer MI6 Christopher Steele. The dossier formed the basis of Robert Mueller's prosecutorial investigation into Trump's ties to Russia and Moscow's interference in US elections. The document said that Russian intelligence agencies helped the Republican win the 2016 election, and Russia has a sex tape made in a Moscow hotel in 2013, which confirms Trump's connection with a sex worker. During the investigation, some of the data provided by Steele was refuted, the CIA had questions about the sources of information of the former spy.

Trump himself called all the data fake and denied any contacts with Moscow. Russia has also strongly denied interference in the American elections. However, the Mueller investigation led to a criminal case against the head of the Trump campaign, Paul Manafort, who was also suspected of having links with the Kremlin, and some other Trump associates. In 2018, Manafort was sentenced to more than seven years in prison, but Trump pardoned him in 2020.
