Colony No. 6 in the Vladimir region, where Alexei Navalny is located, buys products at several times inflated prices, FBK investigators found out .
In particular, last year the colony bought white cabbage for 27.5 rubles per kilogram, while the average market price was six rubles per kilogram. The colony bought onions for 29.5 rubles, while its market price was 13 rubles per kilogram.
The same applies to other products: blue whiting fish (76.34 rubles per kilogram against 49 rubles on the market) and dried potatoes (227.28 rubles against 145 rubles).
The supplier of IK-6 is the Stavropol Tradecapitel LLC – it carries vegetables to the colonies of several regions, and the owner of the company works for the Tandem company, which also delivers to the Federal Penitentiary Service. The fish in the colony is delivered by the Moscow OOO Megafish, and the dried potatoes are delivered by the Chuvash OOO Tav.
FBK investigator Sergei Yezhov notes that for the vast majority of suppliers, such sales at inflated prices are not a one-time story:
“They are the providers of the Federal Penitentiary Service throughout the country. Based on this, we can conclude that suppliers are “appointed” from above, from Moscow. And surely someone from the central management is personally interested in choosing specific contractors who deliver at inflated prices.”
