Oleg Orlov, a human rights activist and council member of the Memorial Human Rights Center liquidated by the Russian authorities, was charged with repeated “discrediting” of the army, and he was released from the Investigative Committee on bail. This was reported by journalist Vasily Polonsky in the Telegram channel.

According to Memorial, human rights activist Alexandra Polivanova was also detained today, she has already been released from the Investigative Committee. She is a witness in the case of the “rehabilitation of Nazism” (paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 354.1 of the Criminal Code). Polivanova was asked about how the database of victims of political repressions is compiled, where sources are taken from, how information is verified. When asked by the human rights activist to show a copy of the interrogation protocol, she was told: “Do you want to become a suspect? Then we'll give you a copy." All the suspects in the case were promised to return personal belongings and equipment not earlier than in 2-3 months.

On March 20, Orlov was detained in Moscow, he went to the picket with a poster "Crazy Putin is pushing the world towards nuclear war."
