A school teacher who was accused of "discrediting" the Russian army will be tried in Kursk. According to the local Telegram channel Sekundochka, citing the materials of the case, while teaching a social science lesson in the 10th grade, the teacher “made negative statements” about the Russian armed forces that invaded Ukraine.

One of the students recorded this speech on a voice recorder in his smartphone. The name of the teacher is not known, it is only known that he is 49 years old and he teaches in one of the schools in the Kursk region. The incident that became the reason for the criminal case occurred in April 2022.

46TV clarifies that this is an administrative case. A court hearing has been scheduled for March 30. In the file cabinet of the Kursk District Court, there was only one case under Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, which is awaiting consideration. Bobryshev Nikolai Nikolaevich was named as the defendant.

In August, a court in Penza sentenced 45-year-old English teacher Irina Gen to five years probation on charges of spreading "fake news" about the army. An eighth grade student denounced a woman who taught at an Olympic reserve school.
