The mayor of Kaliningrad, Yevgeny Lyubivy, resigned of his own accord. This was announced by the deputy of the legislative assembly from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Maxim Bulanov, as well as RIA Novosti , citing a source.
The mayor's petition will be considered today (March 22) at a meeting of the city council of deputies.
Lyubovyy became the mayor of Kaliningrad in early October 2021, having previously worked as the chief physician of the city's clinical emergency hospital.
