Maria Pevchikh, head of the investigation department, has been appointed as the new chairman of the board of directors of the ACF International fund (the international name for the Anti-Corruption Fund). This was announced by Alexei Navalny in social networks.
“Her public work over the past two years has established her as a vibrant political leader. You know her well, but I have no doubt that she will perfectly cope with these duties, ”Navalny wrote.
On March 9, politician Leonid Volkov announced that he was leaving this post after a scandal with a letter that he sent to the office of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell in 2022 without informing his FBK colleagues.
In his letter, Volkov invites Borrell to write down clear criteria for lifting the sanctions. Many businessmen who do not support the Kremlin’s course have been unfairly sanctioned, the politician points out. As an example, he cites the shareholders of Alfa Group Mikhail Fridman, Petr Aven, German Khan and Alexei Kuzmichev and proposes to exclude them from the EU sanctions list.
