The Kirovsky District Court of St. Petersburg found Artem Buslenko guilty of using violence against government officials (Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), in this case, a police officer. He was sentenced to one year of probation and 10 months of probation. Earlier, Buslenko himself reported that he was tortured by the police.

The man was detained in August 2021 near the St. Petersburg metro station Narvskaya. Three police officers demanded that he show his documents, and Buslenko handed them his driver's license. The police officers took away the document and said that Buslenko should go with them to the 31st department. The man asked the reasons for the detention and wanted to take away the certificate, in response to which the security forces sprayed pepper spray on him, pushed him to the ground and beat him.

Pepper spray was also sprayed in the department, in the cell where Buslenko was placed. After that, the police continued beating, insulting and humiliating the man, trying to put his head in the toilet, refusing to provide medical assistance and did not provide water. Buslenko spent the night in the department, and the next morning he was brought to the Investigative Committee, where a criminal case was opened on the use of violence against police officers during detention (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to the prosecution, he hit the security official several times with his hands and feet.

After SK, Buslenko went to the city hospital No. 26. The man was diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury, multiple abrasions, bruises and bruises. He complained to the UK about abuse of power by the police, but his application was never properly considered.
