Putin and Xi Jinping did not discuss Kyiv peace plan – Peskov

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping did not discuss Kyiv's peace plan, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. He is quoted by TASS, RIA Novosti and Kommersant .

According to Peskov, Putin and Xi Jinping exchanged views during the talks on the provisions of the Chinese plan for a "settlement." Peskov also claims that the reaction of Western countries on all issues, including coverage of the visit of the Chinese leader to Moscow, is "unfriendly and deeply hostile."

According to TASS, the talks discussed the expansion of Russian gas supplies to China. Peskov added that the Bloomberg report that Xi Jinping allegedly did not agree to increase gas supplies from Russia is “low-skilled stuffing.”

On March 21, Putin and Xi Jinping met in the Kremlin and signed two documents: on economic cooperation and expanding the partnership of states.

On February 24, the Chinese Foreign Ministry published its 12-point plan to end the war in Ukraine.
