During the war, Ukraine is regularly attacked by drones, most often by Shahed-136. In November 2022, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian admitted for the first time that the country supplied drones to Russia. He clarified that the deliveries were in small quantities and took place several months before the war in Ukraine. Initially, Russia disguised the Shahed-136 as its own drones with the domestic name Geran-2. At the same time, both Russia and Iran denied the supply of drones, but photos of the engines of UAVs shot down in Ukraine show that the insides of the drone are similar to Iranian ones.
