The new head of the Pushkin Museum, Elizaveta Likhacheva, commented on a video showing a photo of Stalin in her office. She explained that the photo was given to her by former colleagues at the Museum of Architecture and added that for her and her colleagues, Stalin is "a subject of pop culture, like Mickey Mouse." Likhacheva stated this in an interview with RTVI.
“The figure of Stalin is complex, ambiguous, and I am an adherent of a very simple position: he died – that's it, we drove through. We cannot measure our life today by Stalin, it's just ridiculous, ”said Likhacheva.
The new leader of Pushkinsky confirmed that she was a member of the Kremlin youth movement "Walking Together". “My best friend came to me, said: “Lisa, come in, they will give me a pager.” I went there, looked at all this… It was a student organization. You have to understand that it was not a feeling of some kind of pro-Putin organization, ”she said. “The secret of my interest in the pro-Putin organization is very simple – they paid there, took the work book and paid,” Likhacheva explained.
She also said that she worked for two years at the Federal Migration Service, where she got a job through an acquaintance: “I came to work at the Federal Migration Service by chance. On March 20, it became known that the director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, Marina Loshak, wrote a letter of resignation with the wording "of her own free will" and she will be replaced by Elizaveta Likhacheva.
