The head of the annexed Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, appointed by the Russian authorities, created the so-called “PMC Convoy”. This became known from the investigation of the publication "Important stories".
A former member of this group told the publication that the Convoy is a combat army reserve (BARS). Members of PMCs conclude two contracts – with "Convoy" and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Contracts allow them to receive guaranteed payments in the event of injury or death.
According to the source of Important Stories, he received about 200 thousand rubles a month, and commanders – 300 thousand rubles a month; those who served a year in the unit were promised land "in the Crimea or Abkhazia."
As the investigators found out, the “Convoy” is led by Konstantin Pikalov (call sign “Mazay”), the right hand of the owner of PMC Wagner Evgeny Prigozhin, the curator of the Wagner mercenary group in Africa.
The media wrote that the “head” of Crimea Aksenov himself was a former member of the Salem organized criminal group. In the 1990s, when he was a member of this organized criminal group, he was better known under the nickname Goblin. He himself denies any involvement in the organized crime group.
