Krasnoyarsk citizen sentenced to three years in prison for words about “fascist Putin”

The 1st Eastern District Military Court found Krasnoyarsk citizen Igor Orlovsky guilty under articles on incitement to extremism and terrorism and sentenced him to 3 years in prison. OVD-Info writes about this with reference to one of the man's lawyers in another case.

The case against Orlovsky was opened at the end of 2022 because of the comments he wrote on VKontakte: “Death to the Russian occupiers! Peace to Ukraine and the whole world!” and “Death to the old fascist Vovka Putin”.

As OVD-Info notes, the Krasnoyarsk citizen was also persecuted under an article on the rehabilitation of Nazism because of a comment in which he compared the political courses of Hitler and Stalin:

"Stalin was the same aggressor as Hitler."

He was also charged under the article about "fake" about the Russian army – because of the comments about the strike on the drama theater in Mariupol and Bucha.

In addition to the real three-year term, Orlovsky was banned from posting on the Internet for two years. The man was taken into custody in the courtroom after the verdict was announced.
