17 bars sealed by the police in the center of St. Petersburg were recognized as material evidence in the case of the involvement of minors in drinking alcohol (part 1 of article 151 of the Criminal Code), the city department of the Investigative Committee reports .
The investigation claims that on February 22, 2023, an unknown person posted on the Internet an announcement about holding an event with an age limit of “16+” in one of the bars in St. Petersburg, “after which he purchased alcoholic and alcohol-containing products, and also sold them to an unlimited circle of minors.” According to part 1 of Art. 151 of the Criminal Code for this threatens up to four years in prison.
It is reported that the owner of the premises, in which "minors are systematically involved in the consumption" of alcohol, was searched.
On March 22, the UK sealed about 20 bars on Dumskaya and Lomonosov streets in the center of St. Petersburg. Closed bars include Scandal, Rocket, GoodPeople, Quarenghi, Probirka, Duma, Vegas, Bardak, Arka and Fan Club. The former secretary of the Leningrad rock club Olga Slobodskaya and one of the founders of the Rotunda Telegram channel, journalist Viktor Ovsyukov, previously told The Insider about these bars.
