In the Rostov region in April 2023, they will start filming a series about the war against Ukraine. The locals were informed about this by the authorities. They also warned them about the work of the film crew, so that people would not mistake it for a Ukrainian offensive. Thus, the administration of Azov announced that from April 5 to April 15, pyrotechnic products will be used to simulate explosions during filming.

The working title of the series is 20/22. It will consist of four episodes. As indicated in the Register of National Film Certificates, Bubblegum Production and Don-Cinema were entrusted with the work on it with the assistance of the Internet Development Institute. The director will be Andrey Simonov, author of the TV series Love for Hire and More Than Love. Filming, in addition to Rostov-on-Don and Azov, will take place in Moscow and occupied Mariupol. The film's budget has not been disclosed. Novaya Gazeta Europe got acquainted with the synopsis of the series and found out that the plot is based on the first events of a full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine.

The main characters are 22-year-old MGIMO student Danila, who served in the radio engineering troops, and his girlfriend Alice, a 20-year-old student at the National Research University Higher School of Economics.
