A soldier of the Rostov garrison was put on trial on charges of treason

The Southern District Military Court of Rostov-on-Don is considering the case of a serviceman from the Rostov garrison, who is accused of treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and illegal receipt of information constituting a state secret (Article 283.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This was told to TASS by a law enforcement source.

The defendant's name is Ilya Trachuk. According to the case card from the court website, the first hearing was held on March 27. The hearing will continue on April 10.

TASS also reports, citing court data, that in 2022 Trachuk was twice prosecuted for gross violations of discipline.
