MIPT students forced to learn Chinese instead of German and French – “Beware of Moscow”

Students of the Moscow Physics and Technology University (MIPT) complained that they were forced to learn Chinese instead of the previously chosen ones for studying German, French or Spanish. This is reported by the Telegram channel of Ksenia Sobchak "Caution, Moscow".

According to the students, Chinese has recently become a mandatory language to learn along with English. At the same time, Spanish, German and French disappeared from the program, it is impossible to enroll in a new course, these three languages can only be studied by those who chose them before the changes were made. Compulsory Chinese classes are currently short, so management is requiring students to sign up for classes.

The students themselves said that both they and the teachers are against innovations, but no one responds to their objections. In the university groups in social networks, it is proposed to hold pickets, boycotts and write letters on this topic so that those who disagree with the changes are heard.
