The justice of the peace of the 2nd judicial district of the Tatar judicial district of the Novosibirsk region sentenced the deputy from United Russia Sergei Mamontov to 10 months of corrective labor. He was found guilty of deliberately leaving without help a person in a state dangerous to life and health (Article 125 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). On October 30, 2022, in Tatarsk, Mamontov hit a six-year-old boy in his Toyota and fled the scene, leaving the child lying on the road.
As a result, an ambulance was called to the boy by a passer-by. He was diagnosed with bruises, a concussion and a fracture of the ischium. The child was taken by helicopter to the hospital. After the accident, Mamontov's car was put on the wanted list, which is why he came to the police himself. He was threatened with a year of imprisonment, but at the end of December the court dismissed the case, as the child's mother went to reconciliation. She said that Mamontov promised to cover all the costs associated with the treatment of his son. The prosecutor's office later appealed the court's decision. The man was expelled from United Russia.
