The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia has recognized the Free University as an undesirable organization. As stated in the department's message, as a result of the check it turned out that the organization, located in the territory of Latvia, was founded by "foreign agents".
In addition, the Prosecutor General's Office believes that the teachers of the Free University "popularize the activities of organizations recognized as extremist in Russia." They also use literature that "has a pronounced anti-Russian character." “In the course of the educational process, a persistent dislike for Russia is formed among students and an ultra-liberal model of European democracy is being imposed,” the Prosecutor General’s Office said in a statement.
