Russia and Indonesia signed an extradition treaty

Russia and Indonesia signed an agreement on mutual extradition. This happened during a visit to the republic by Russian Minister of Justice Konstantin Chuichenko. According to him, the signed agreement "regulates the issues of extradition of criminals in order to bring them to criminal liability or to carry out the sentence." From the Indonesian side, the agreement was signed by representatives of several departments, including the province of Bali.

In total, the "List of International Treaties of the Russian Federation on Legal Assistance, Extradition and Transfer of Persons Sentenced to Deprivation of Liberty" contains 97 existing treaties. There are also 16 treaties that have not entered into force for Russia.
