On the show "Voice", airing on Channel One, the song of the American singer Beyoncé If I Were a Boy ("If I were a boy") was translated as "If I have a boy." TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak drew attention to this.
The composition was performed by singer Natalya Podolskaya. The incorrect translation was indicated in the credits opening the issue. As Sobchak noted, before the adoption of the law on "LGBT propaganda" this song was also performed by other members of the "Voice", including its children's version. Then in the credits the song was translated as "If I were a guy."
Beyoncé's song, released in 2008, is dedicated to the problems of gender inequality. In it, the singer talks about how she would behave if she were a man: she courted girls, drank beer and dressed the way she wanted.
