The authorities of St. Petersburg promised to pay one million rubles to the family of the propagandist and military correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky, who died in the explosion in the Street Bar cafe. This was announced by the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov in the Telegram channel.
According to him, the seriously wounded during the explosion will receive 500 thousand rubles, the rest of the victims – 250 thousand rubles. According to the latest data, a total of 32 people were injured in the explosion, 10 of them are now in serious condition.
The Sirena Telegram channel drew attention to the fact that some victims of the terrorist attack in the St. Petersburg metro on April 3, 2017, exactly six years ago, still receive assistance from human rights activists and complain about delays in the procedures for payments and treatment. A few months after the explosion in the metro, some victims received only 1,000 rubles each from the city authorities. In July 2017, a petition was published demanding that all the victims and relatives of the victims be paid the due amounts, it gained 158,000 signatures. Families complained about the delay in the process, the conduct of the examination without a patient, and the fact that the victims were given a “mild severity” even with mine-explosive injuries. The amount of assistance and the appointment of rehabilitation depended on the conclusion of the medical board. Paper wrote in 2021 that over four years, the victims and families of those killed in the terrorist attack were paid 130 million rubles from the city and federal budgets, as well as from the funds of the metro. Authorities refused compensation for 25 victims.
The explosion on the stretch between the stations "Sennaya Ploshchad" and "Technological Institute" thundered on April 3, 2017. Then 15 people died. According to investigators, the bomb was detonated by a suicide bomber, 22-year-old Akbarjon Jalilov. Eleven people were detained on charges of preparing a terrorist act, three of the accused were kidnapped by the FSB before being detained and tortured, knocking out confessions. None of the defendants pleaded guilty. The prosecution blamed the terrorist organization Katiba Tawhid wal-Jihad (Jihad and Monotheism Battalion).
