The Basmanny Court of Moscow sent Daria Trepova to a pre-trial detention center for two months. She was detained on suspicion of organizing an explosion that killed propagandist Vladlen Tatarsky (Maxim Fomin).

Earlier on April 4, Trepova was taken from St. Petersburg to Moscow. Footage from the Domodedovo airport shows that the girl in handcuffs, a hood and a mask on her face is being led by several police officers. The Investigative Committee charged Trepova under paragraph “b” of Part 3 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code (a terrorist act committed by an organized group that resulted in the intentional infliction of death on a person) and Part 4 of Art. 222.1 (illegal possession of explosive devices by an organized group).

Darya Trepova, 26, was detained on April 3 in an apartment in St. Petersburg. The girl is accused of bringing a figurine stuffed with explosives to a "creative evening" of the propagandist Tatarsky in a cafe on Universitetskaya embankment. Trepova presented the figurine to Tatarsky, shortly after that there was an explosion. The propagandist died, more than 30 people were injured.

Dmitry Kasintsev, an acquaintance of Trepova's, was detained in the same case. The National Anti-Terrorism Committee stated that the murder of Tatarsky was organized by the Ukrainian special services "with the involvement of agents from the FBK" Alexei Navalny. Trepova allegedly stated after her arrest that she did not know about the explosives in the statuette and that she had been set up.
