Concert of pianist Polina Osetinskaya, who opposed the war, was canceled in Perm

The Triumph Private Philharmonic in Perm has canceled a concert by pianist Polina Osetinskaya, scheduled for April 5, according to the New Companion publication.

“Unfortunately, there were circumstances that the Philharmonic team cannot influence in any way. This transfer is a big blow for us as well. We believed to the last that we could hold this concert, ”the representatives of Triumph commented on the cancellation of the concert.

According to the publication, after the start of the war in Ukraine, the pianist published posts on social networks against the Russian invasion, and also supported the appeal of Russian NGOs to Putin to end the war.

In early April, the security forces were already trying to prevent Osetinskaya from performing in the Moscow DK Rassvet. Before the concert, the police approached her and said that “by order of the Presnensky police department” they were banning the concert, nevertheless the pianist decided to perform anyway.

The security forces returned during the intermission and announced the evacuation, allegedly due to a report of mining, the listeners were taken out of the building. After a while, the spectators returned to the hall, where the police found nothing.
