The authors of the BARAKuda YouTube channel, which releases satirical videos about the "official" Vitaly Nalivkin, confirmed that they are now raising money for the needs of the Russian army. This is reported by the Sirena project.
Today, the first video about Nalivkin in 7 months was published on the channel. In it, he shows the production of equipment for the military and asks viewers to send money for this, promising to post reports on the donations spent on the YouTube channel of the Monolit company. This is the former company Film Studio-Barakuda that changed its name, the founders of which are the creators of the show about Nalivkin. The company's website already sells protection for body parts costing from 6 to 16 thousand rubles.
The author of the channel and co-founder of Monolit, Andrey Klochkov, in a conversation with Sirena, commented on this initiative in the following way:
“We don’t have such equipment in our country, but it is necessary. This affected us when we began to call on our friends during mobilization. We ourselves were looking for equipment and realized that there was nothing that covered the arms and legs. We decided that it was in our power to do such a useful thing, because we are worried about our guys who are there. We've been doing this for about half a year. From scratch, they developed everything themselves, on their own initiative, at their own expense.
In 2021, a criminal case was opened against the authors of the channel after a video with the explosion of the United Russia banner from a grenade launcher. However, Klochkov says that the current initiative to collect donations for the Russian army is not related to pressure from the authorities.
