North Korea has tested an underwater combat drone capable of carrying a nuclear warhead

North Korea has tested a Haeil-2 maritime drone capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. This was reported by the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea.

According to the agency, the tests took place from 4 to 7 April. The drone was launched in the port of Kajin, it traveled 1000 km under water and reached the port of Rende on April 7, where the simulated target was located.

The test munition exploded underwater. Korean sources write that the tests were successful, confirming the reliability and "deadly attacking ability" of the system.

“As a result of the test, the reliability of the system of underwater strategic weapons and its ability to deliver a fatal blow were fully verified,” the report says.
