Canada has imposed sanctions against 14 individuals and 34 legal entities from Russia, including those associated with PMC Wagner, as well as against nine enterprises associated with the financial sector of Belarus. This was announced by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and the data is also published on the website of the Government of Canada.

The sanctions list includes the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Defense Minister Nikolai Pankov, the Volga-Dnepr airline and its head Alexei Isaikin, as well as companies associated with the founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin.

Trudeau also said that Canada would send a new military aid package to Kyiv, which would include 21,000 assault rifles, 38 machine guns and more than 2.4 million rounds of ammunition.

In February, Canada imposed sanctions against a number of Russian artists, the Rossiya Segodnya media group, the RIA Novosti agency, and resources associated with Prigozhin.
