April 11 at In the Kaliningrad region, a local resident was sentenced to two years of forced labor for attempting to set fire to a military registration and enlistment office. 30-year-old Sergei Chursin was found guilty of attempted deliberate destruction of another's property by arson.

According to the prosecution, on the night of September 25, 2022, Chursin threw several Molotov cocktails at the wall of the military enlistment office in Chernyakhovsk. This is one of the few "soft" sentences for attempts to set fire to military registration and enlistment offices in Russia. Since the beginning of the war, dozens of activists have been subjected to similar cases, and all of them face harsh sentences. Often such cases are reclassified from "hooliganism" articles to "terrorist" articles.

One of the most brutal arson sentences was handed down recently, on April 10th. A court in Yekaterinburg sentenced Roman Nasryev and Aleksey Nuriev to 19 years in prison for setting fire to the administration building, which housed the military registration desk. They were found guilty of committing a terrorist attack and "undergoing training for the purpose of committing terrorist activities." Nasryev and Nuriev threw Molotov cocktails through the window of the building in protest against the war in Ukraine and mobilization. The watchman was able to extinguish the fire before the arrival of firefighters, the window and linoleum were damaged.
