The Federation Council approved the law on a unified register of military records

The Federation Council approved the law on a unified register of military records and electronic subpoenas for those liable for military service. Now, for it to come into force, it must be signed by Vladimir Putin.

The law was supported by 163 senators, one voted against.

The day before, the law was adopted by the State Duma in three readings at once. Now the subpoenas will not only be delivered to homes and handed over at the subway, stopping people on the streets, but also sent electronically, as well as by registered mail. Those who try to hide from the draft will automatically lose a number of rights and benefits. More about this in the analysis of The Insider.
