The leak of American classified documents to the network was due to the fault of a young man, "who is 20-something years old", he works at a US military base. This follows from information obtained by the Washington Post (WP).
The publication writes that the employee merged these documents into a group on the Discord platform. It consisted of about 20 participants, united by "a joint love for weapons, military equipment and God." This was reported to WP by two members of this group.
The man behind the leak of classified information called himself OG, which stands for Original Gangster. One of the band members describes him like this: “He is in good shape. He is strong. He is armed. He's trained. Like the hero of some crazy action movie. OG took a traditionalist conservative stance and believed that the federal government was hiding a lot from the American people. However, despite this, he was not going to betray the secret information to the public. It was intended only for those who were in a Discord group.
One of the members of this group told WP that he continued to correspond with OG after the FBI officially launched an investigation into the leak. According to him, OG fully understands what is happening and the consequences that may threaten him, but does not yet know how to resolve this situation. In his last message to the group, he asked all members to delete all information relating to him, including any copies of classified documents.
The classified information that was leaked outside of the Discord group included US military intelligence and forecasts regarding the war in Ukraine. In particular, one could find information in the documents that Serbia agreed to supply weapons to Ukraine. They also contain forecasts regarding the course of the war, information on the supply of weapons, wiretapping of state leaders, and much more.
