US President Joe Biden has appointed singer and actress Lady Gaga to co-chair the US President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities. This committee will advise the White House on cultural policy issues.
The document notes that Lady Gaga (real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) is the owner of 13 Grammy awards and is one of the most commercially successful performers in history. Quote from a document published on the White House website:

She has traveled with President Biden to support the It's On Us campaign to end sexual harassment on college campuses, has worked tirelessly for equality over the years, and has been a vocal advocate for mental health awareness."
Film producer Bruce Cohen has been appointed as another co-chair of the Committee.
The US President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities was established in 1982 by Ronald Reagan and serves as the White House's advisory committee on many cultural issues, including advice to the president and leaders of the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
President Biden reinstated the Committee last September after it was dissolved in August 2017 during President Trump's campaign when its members resigned in protest after a rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
