Nearly 100 civilians killed in armed clashes in Sudan

The number of civilians killed in armed clashes in Sudan has reached at least 97 people. Hundreds of people were also injured. As a result, hospitals in Sudan have run out of donated blood and life-saving equipment.

Clashes between the armed forces of Sudan and the paramilitary group "Rapid Support Forces" (RSF) began on Saturday. RSF leader Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, also known as Hemedti, said the military violated the temporary humanitarian ceasefire. According to him, the goal of the RSF is the leader of the Sudanese armed forces, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan. In the future, they plan to "bring him to justice."

The World Health Organization estimates that more than 1,126 people were injured in the clashes.
