Publicist Alexander Arkhangelsky was not allowed into Georgia

Russian publicist and TV presenter Alexander Arkhangelsky was not allowed into Georgia. According to Echo, he was denied entry without explanation.

Arkhangelsky was going to come to Tbilisi for the screening of the film "Hunger", in which he is one of the co-authors. Having received a refusal, he flew to Yerevan and then plans to return to Moscow.

On April 17, it became known that Arkhangelsky had resigned from the Higher School of Economics (HSE). He has been collaborating with the university since 2006, and in 2009 he took the honorary post of tenured professor. The writer supported the protests in Belarus and opposed the amendments that “nullify” Putin’s term. The leadership of the Institute of Media made a wish for his dismissal.
