Duracell leaves Russia — Mash

The company Duracell, which produces batteries, is going to leave Russia, according to the Mash Telegram channel.

The decision was made by management and shareholders due to the termination of the supply of batteries and accumulators from the plant in Belgium.

In a letter from Duracell Russia LLC, addressed to the company's business partners, it is said that the company's exit from the Russian market will be carried out "in accordance with all laws and regulations." It is emphasized that the shareholders of Duracell after the liquidation of the Russian "daughter" of the company are not going to in any way make its products available on the Russian market.

At the same time, it is noted that all outstanding orders will be settled, and the products remaining in warehouses in Russia will be sold out. After that, the company will terminate all commercial contracts, annexes and additional agreements to them.

In mid-2022, Duracell products were listed as "parallel imports". However, she was soon removed from there. According to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, this was done because the company gave guarantees for the supply of goods of its brand to the Russian Federation.
