The Prosecutor General's Office did not find grounds for conducting a procedural check on the fact of torture in the Moscow Brateevo police department, where the participants in anti-war actions were taken. This is stated in the department's response to Moscow City Duma deputy Yevgeny Stupin.
As the Prosecutor General's Office writes, information about the illegal actions of the employees of the Brateevo police department in relation to the activists "has not been confirmed."
In March 2022, activists detained at an anti-war rally complained about torture by officers of the Brateevo police station. The girls, in particular, said that they were beaten, poured antiseptic into their eyes, choked with a plastic bag, poured water over them and pulled their hair. Alexandra Kaluzhskikh was able to make an audio recording of the sounds of blows, as well as threats and insults from the police.
“Putin is on our side. You are the enemies of Russia, you are the enemies of the people ***** [nafig]. You ******** [we will kill] here just ***** [what the hell] and that's it. We will also receive a bonus for this, ”says the policeman.
According to female activists, at least three detained girls were beaten in the Brateevo police station. The OVD introduced the “Fortress” plan in order not to let anyone in to the detainees.
