In the city of Kansk, Krasnoyarsk region, the city court sentenced a 35-year-old man who worked as an English teacher to two years and ten days in a penal colony, the Prospekt Mira portal reports , citing the words of his lawyer. On September 16, 2022, the convict, whose name has not been released, fired his hunting rifle at a banner advertising contract military service.
He was charged with hooliganism with the use of weapons (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code) and a threat to kill a neighbor who met him after shooting at a poster (Article 119 of the Criminal Code). The prosecutor requested two years and eight months in a general regime colony for him.
The man was arrested the day after the shot. According to his lawyer, his client surrendered to the National Guard on his own. The mother of the convict said that he was very worried about "partial mobilization" and shot at the banner because of a "nervous breakdown."
The lawyer's interview indicated that after being taken to the police station, the man was beaten, threatened with rape and demanded to plead guilty to the arson of the military registration and enlistment office, which occurred on the night of September 23-24, 2022.
On April 20, in Moscow, Omsk residents Vladimir Sergeev and Anton Zhuchkov were convicted under the article on “preparation for a terrorist attack”. They were accused of planning to set fire to empty paddy wagons on Pushkin Square during an anti-war rally.
