PlayStation Network users reported massive bans on Turkish accounts created by Russian gamers

Sony has begun blocking Turkish accounts on the PlayStation Network, which are created by Russian users. Numerous complaints about this appeared on the forum site 4pda.to.

The PlayStation World Telegram channel reports that both accounts created by users from Russia and those bought by them fall under the blocking, and technical support does not respond to complaints.

In March, shortly after the start of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Sony Interactive Entertainment (a subsidiary of Sony Group) announced that it would stop deliveries of PlayStation game consoles and software to Russia, as well as the operation of the PlayStation Store. After that, the practice of creating Turkish accounts spread among Russian gamers, which were then paid using Turkish bank cards or through intermediaries.
