The governor of the annexed Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that on the night of April 24, surface drones attacked the city.
According to Razvozhaev, one drone was shot down by air defense forces, the second exploded on its own. “Everything happened on the outer roadstead, no objects were damaged,” he wrote.
Videos of the alleged attack appeared on Telegram channels. An explosion is visible on one of them, apparently, this is the moment the air defense drone was destroyed.
The Directorate for the Development of Road Transport Infrastructure of Sevastopol reported that the movement of sea transport was stopped on Monday morning: "Marine passenger transport does not move." The reason for the stop was not specified. It is noted that ground transport has been launched on the compensation route.
The speaker of the Air Force of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, commented on the night drone attack on Sevastopol. “Conventional drones moving on the water surface are a rather difficult target that is difficult to hit. Therefore, the means of modern warfare using UAVs of various types will be increased,” he said.
The pro-Russian Telegram channel Rybar called the drone attack an assessment of the “state of defense of the Black Sea Fleet before the announced offensive” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “At the beginning or right before the resumption of hostilities, one should expect a massive launch of both unmanned aerial vehicles and marine vehicles, as well as strikes from the Grom-2 OTRK, the geography of which has expanded,” the authors of the channel write.
Also on the night of April 24, a fallen drone filled with explosives was found in the Moscow region near Noginsk. It was discovered not far from a garden partnership in the Bogorodsk district.
