A resident of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was hacked into his personal account on the Gosuslugi portal and signed him up as a “volunteer” to participate in a “special military operation” in Ukraine.
According to Baza, the attacker introduced himself as a Gosuslug employee. He called a 50-year-old man via messenger, said that he had been "hacked" and asked to dictate the code from an SMS message. The man did everything that was required. Three days later, the citizen re-entered Gosuslugi, where he discovered that someone had signed him up as a “volunteer” on SVO.
A resident of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk turned to the police. He stated that he had not submitted an application and could not go to the front because he had a disability. According to the man, a criminal case was opened on the fact of illegal access to computer information.
In October 2022, The Insider journalist Vasily Krestyaninov was also signed up as a “volunteer” for the war in Ukraine through the Gosuslugi portal without his knowledge. At the same time, his account was initially logged in from a Russian IP address (although the journalist left Russia back in 2021), and then from Yerevan. Vasily stated that by the time he logged into his account for the second time, the fact that he was in Armenia was already widely known.
