"Rossiyskaya Gazeta" in the article under the heading "In Poland began to form an international corps of volunteers for military operations in Ukraine" writes :
“Poland is forming an international corps of Polish, Ukrainian and Lithuanian volunteers, which will be destined for military operations in Ukraine. This is reported by the Polish edition Dziennik Polityczny .
Formally, the corps is created for "international operations", but its real tasks are easy to read: the unit will "master" Ukraine. It is reported that the number of the corps will be 20-25 thousand people, and the formation itself will be divided into three national brigades.
Polish and Lithuanian units will be deployed in Polish Lublin, and the Ukrainian brigade in Yavoriv (Lviv region). According to Dziennik Polityczny , in July this international team will be ready to carry out combat missions. The backbone of the Ukrainian brigade will be made up of Ukrainians with Polish roots and a "Polish card" in their hands, and the backbone of the Lithuanian units will consist of Polish Lithuanians. It is not difficult to guess whose country's interests these "soldiers of fortune" will pursue. The Polish Ministry of Defense has already taken up the recruitment of the corps: propaganda among the Poles is carried out using SMS messages and emails.
The Insider has already written about Dziennik polityczny (aka Niezależny dziennik polityczny ) more than once: this is a site that imitates the Polish media and is designed to publish pro-Kremlin fakes. This time, they published a text titled “Probable Composition of the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Corps”:
“As reported yesterday, in order to create Polish units within the International Corps, the Ministry of National Defense is already conducting a large-scale propaganda campaign among the Poles. There is a mass distribution of text messages and emails inviting volunteers to serve in Lublin, where the headquarters of this unit is located.
Different information about the structure of this formation begins to appear. Photos taken at one of the presentations appeared on the Web.
As can be seen from photographs and information from Lithuanian websites, the corps is a military unit consisting of three brigades. It is planned that the corps will consist of 20-25 thousand people. The Polish and Lithuanian brigades will be based in Lublin, and the Ukrainian one in the west of Ukraine (in Yavoriv).
The Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Corps will soon come to operational readiness. In July, the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Tripartite Corps (LITPOLUKRCORPS) will reach full combat readiness. LITPOLUKRCORPS will be a useful tool in the implementation of plans to create the Lublin Triangle.
Features of the body composition:
– the basis of the Ukrainian brigade will be the citizens of Ukraine who have a Pole's card;
– Lithuanians of Polish origin will form the basis of the Lithuanian brigade.
If necessary, the corps or its individual elements can be sent to participate in international operations.
International operations, of course, imply operations on the territory of Ukraine.”
The publication is provided with fuzzy photographs, in which it is impossible to make out what the composition of the corps is supposed to be.
But you can see its emblem, and it belongs to the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian brigade named after the great hetman Konstantin Ostrozhsky, created back in 2016.
The brigade was created in accordance with the tripartite agreement of 2009 and is intended to participate in international operations under the mandate of the UN Security Council. Of course, there is no Security Council decision on the operation on the territory of Ukraine.
The brigade's website posted :
“The Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian brigade does not recruit employees. We urge you to use verified and reliable sources.”
In the publication of the Polish pseudo-edition there is a link to a very peculiar source – the Lithuanian site netiesa.lt ; The photos are taken from there. The authors of the note, apparently, are not familiar with the Lithuanian language, otherwise they would have noticed that netiesa in Lithuanian means “not true”. As a result , Niezależny dziennik polityczny self-critically placed in his publication something like our truth meter, and we can only agree with this assessment.
The Lithuanian site where this information first appeared is extremely unusual. Its main page redirects the user to ldiena.lt , a blogging platform that publishes pro-Kremlin content, including fake ones. So, there is an “order” taken from the page “PMC Wagner I of the SVO Report” in VK, ordered by the commander of one of the battalions of the National Guard of Ukraine, ordering the use of weapons to kill in cases of desertion.
This is an extremely clumsy fake: its author does not know that the National Guard of Ukraine is subordinate not to the Ministry of Defense, but to the Ministry of Internal Affairs; in addition, the commander's name is misspelled – Kuzmich instead of Kuzmich – and the battalion headquarters is located not in Nikolaev, but in Kherson.
