Alexei Navalny said during a meeting in the Basmanny Court of Moscow that a criminal case was opened against him on terrorism, singling him out of the extremism case, in which the politician faces 30 years in prison. He was quoted by a TASS correspondent:
“The investigator informed me that a new terrorism case had been singled out against me and that a military court would judge me on it.”
On April 26, the Basmanny Court is considering a petition from the investigation to limit Navalny in terms of familiarizing himself with the materials of the case on extremism. The court closed the meeting at the request of the representative of the Investigative Committee to preserve the "secrecy of the investigation."
Earlier, Navalny was placed in a punishment cell (SHIZO) for the next (fourteenth) time. This time he was sent there immediately after spending 15 days in the same cell.
