The Nevsky District Court of St. Petersburg terminated the administrative case on the "discrediting" of the Russian army, initiated against human rights activist Dinar Idrisov. Idrisov himself spoke about this, noting that the grounds on which the case was closed are not exactly known to him.
The human rights activist believes that the reason is either that the statute of limitations has expired, or that the dates are incorrectly entered in the protocol of viewing his page on VKontakte. “It is impossible to understand what exactly the charge is. No linguistic formulations are given. The collection of evidence by Center-E employees was carried out in the course of illegal operational-search activities,” Idrisov said.
As the human rights activist previously reported, on March 2, 2023, a protocol was drawn up against him on “discrediting” due to anti-war posts from his VK page, which was blocked last year. The publications were made on February 24 and May 19, 2022. According to the protocol, the profile on the social network was examined on December 2 last year, while the inspection report was dated January 31 of the current year.
Dinar Idrisov has been a member of the public organization "Observers of St. Petersburg" since 2013. As a defense lawyer, he worked on hundreds of cases related to violations of the rules for holding rallies.
