The court sentenced Dvorkovich’s ex-assistant to 12 years for bribery

The court sentenced the former assistant to the former deputy chairman of the government Arkady Dvorkovich, Anastasia Alekseev, to 12 years and a fine of 75 million for taking bribes on an especially large scale (about 6 million rubles). It is reported by Interfax. Alekseeva pleaded not guilty.

The court also banned Alekseeva for 15 years from holding positions in the public service and in local governments. Another defendant in the case, Dmitry Borisov, CEO of Medpolimerprom, was given a suspended sentence of 7 years in prison and a fine of 69 million rubles. He was accused of giving a bribe. Borisov admitted his guilt in full.

The case against Alekseev was opened two years ago. At that time, Alekseeva worked as an assistant to Arkady Dvorkovich, who served as deputy chairman of the government. According to investigators, Alekseeva received bribes in the form of tickets and holiday vouchers from the management of the Medpolimerprom and Promomed companies. In return, she promised to help companies promote drugs.
