Two protocols were drawn up against the 65-year-old head of the Ural “Memorial” for “discrediting” the army

Against the head of the Ural "Memorial", 65-year-old Alexei Mosin, two protocols were drawn up under the article on "discrediting" the Russian army. This was reported by "Memorial".

Mosin faces a fine of up to 50 thousand rubles under each protocol, as well as the initiation of a criminal case for repeated “discrediting” of the army with a term of up to five years in prison.

Early in the morning, the police came to Mosin's house and took him to the warehouse of the Yeltsin Center to pick up the founding documents of the legal entities of Memorial. Then he was taken to the police department, where two protocols were drawn up against him under the article on “discrediting” because of the materials published on the website of the Ural “Memorial”. Among the screenshots attached to the protocols, there is also a statement from the International Memorial on the anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Earlier, the Orenburg Cossack Army had already complained about these publications, noting that the Russian army was called the aggressor in them, and the “special operation” was called an invasion.

"Memorial" notes that Mosin is not the head of the website of the Ural "Memorial" and does not have access to it. The persecution of the human rights activist, according to the organization, is connected with his support for the ex-mayor of Yekaterinburg, Yevgeny Roizman, who is being tried under a criminal article on repeated “discrediting” of the army.
