Rector of the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade arrested in fraud case

The Lefortovo Court of Moscow has arrested the rector of the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade, Sergei Sinelnikov-Murylev, in a fraud case, RIA Novosti reports . The card of the Sinelnikov-Murylev case appeared on the website of the Moscow City Court.

The rector is charged with a criminal article on fraud as part of an organized group or on an especially large scale (Article 159, part 4).

According to Baza, the FSB detained the rector on April 27 after searches at his house and dacha. He is charged with stealing a million rubles, the Telegram channel writes, citing sources.

RBC notes that in 2016 Sinelnikov-Murylev spoke at the Gaidar Forum at the session "Strategy-2030". Together with him at this session were ex-head of the Ministry of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukaev, later sentenced to eight years in prison, ex-rector of the RANEPA Vladimir Mau, who was charged with embezzlement in 2023, but then the criminal case was dropped, and the ex-minister of the "open government » Mikhail Abyzov, who was arrested in March 2019 in the case of organizing a criminal community and fraud on an especially large scale.
