The “head” of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, said that Russian air defense shot down a drone in the west of the peninsula. “In the west of Crimea, air defense forces shot down an UAV. Our servicemen solve tasks clearly and efficiently. I ask everyone to remain calm and trust only trusted sources of information,” Aksyonov wrote on his Telegram channel.
Who exactly owned the UAV, is not specified. The Ukrainian military incident did not comment.
Earlier, local Telegram channels wrote about the work of air defense systems in Crimea. According to eyewitnesses, the explosion was heard not far from Evpatoria.
At the end of April, it became known that Moscow was preparing for an UAV attack at the May 9 parade. The media publish, presumably, copies of documents outlining the procedure to follow if a UAV is detected during the parade on Red Square on May 9. In particular, an instruction for the operator of the Silok-02 radio suppression complex appeared on the network. Their authenticity has not yet been confirmed. In addition, the Caution, News Telegram channel reported on the creation of duty groups of state employees who, among other things, will watch the sky in search of drones.
