In Yerevan, the police detained 17-year-old Yaroslav Inozemtsev, who was put on the international wanted list by Russia, for 72 hours; in the Russian Federation, he was sentenced to compulsory indefinite psychiatric treatment for allegedly preparing to shoot at a school. This was reported to the Sota Telegram channel by Inozemtsev's mother, Yulia.

According to the mother, at the police station, the son, on the advice of the lawyer of the Armenian Helsinki Group, wrote an application for political asylum. He told the police that he was in danger in Russia. In the future, Inozemtsev is awaiting a trial on possible extradition.

Yulia Inozemtseva also said that in Yerevan she and her son, with the assistance of human rights activists, were waiting for a visa to Europe. The location of the family was revealed to the Volgograd branch of the FSB by Yaroslav's father and Yulia's ex-husband, who is seeking the return of his wife. The ex-husband writes denunciations and threatens Yulia (the correspondence is at the disposal of Sota). The man was able to get the address from his son, the Armenian police told Yulia about this.

According to investigators in the Russian Federation, 14-year-old Yaroslav Inozemtsev was preparing an attack on the school, including one of the students with whom he allegedly had a conflict. The FSB claimed to have found an improvised explosive device, Molotov cocktails, components for explosives and edged weapons in the teenager. For a year and a half, he was transferred from the pre-trial detention center to house arrest, from there to a psychiatric hospital and back to the pre-trial detention center. In July 2022, he was sentenced to compulsory treatment. The mother and son fled the Russian Federation after the verdict of the appellate instance.

Inozemtsev himself admitted to possessing explosives, but explained that he planned to use them solely for entertainment purposes. The teenager has not attended school since 2019, he was homeschooled due to health problems.
