Rapper Loqiemean canceled tour of Russia after Mizulina’s denunciation

Rap metaller Loqiemean (Roman Khudyakov) canceled his tour of Russia after the denunciation of the head of the Safe Internet League, Ekaterina Mizulina, to the Prosecutor General's Office and complaints from Z-bloggers about him. The message was published on social networks, including the artist's Telegram channel.

Khudyakov said that the tour had to be canceled due to a "torrent of lies" from bloggers, which was supported by the media. The rapper also claims that he never donated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, did not leave Russia until May 2023 (before the tour in Kazakhstan), and fundamentally does not support armed conflicts. Khudyakov recorded anti-war videos “in the heat of the moment”, as well as activists who, under posts about his concerts, “call to burn down clubs along with people,” the statement says.

In response to accusations of LGBT “propaganda”, the rapper said that he is married and can only recommend what he lives with. The artist's team wrote an appeal to the Safe Internet League and hopes to return to concerts in Russia in the near future.

“I always wanted to live in Russia and develop in it what I can and can do, because I love my Motherland, although I do not always agree with the state. At the same time, I have always been for the development of the country, against drugs, pedophilia, bullying of children and adolescents, including online, and for cleanliness in my cities. Here is my family and my friends. Whatever one may say, the facts do not allow me to be called a traitor, ”he wrote.

Previously, the Telegram channel Mash reported about the partial cancellation of Loqiemean concerts.

At the end of February 2022, Khudyakov was detained on Pushkinskaya Square in Moscow at an anti-war rally. In March, he wrote on social networks that he had little idea how to make music in the Russian Federation at such a moment, and "plans for this year are unrealistic." He also argued that freedom of speech is shrinking "to the boundaries of one nasty letter Z."

In August 2021, Yuri Dud published an interview with Loqiemean on his channel, the artist, among other things, spoke about the problems of modern Russia. In 2019, the musician stated on the Vpiska YouTube channel that he hoped to meet Vladimir Putin only when he “will be escorted to another world,” since during his lifetime there is nothing to talk about: “I hope that I will meet him when we will accompany him to another world. What's the point of talking to him? He is not human. Whatever you say, fuck him. You can't bring him to his senses. Grandfather has already formed.

The daughter of Senator Elena Mizulina, Ekaterina, has been leading the Safe Internet League since 2018. Ekaterina Mizulina regularly appeals to the Prosecutor General's Office with requests to check artists objectionable to the authorities, especially those who oppose the war in Ukraine. Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the appearance of articles about the “discrediting” of the army, according to denunciations by Mizulina Morgenstern, Yuri Dud and Eldzhey, they were fined 100 thousand rubles under other articles – she asked the Prosecutor General’s Office to check them for “drug propaganda”.
