School shooting kills 10 in Belgrade

A 14-year-old teenager opened fire at a school in the Vracar district of Belgrade. At least ten people were killed: eight schoolchildren, as well as a teacher and a security guard. Also, six students and one teacher received gunshot wounds. Two of the injured children are in intensive care, another is undergoing surgery, he is in critical condition.

The shooter, born in 2009, was detained by the police. According to Serbian media, his name is Kosta Kecmanovic, he is the son of Vladimir Kecmanovic, a well-known radiologist in the country. It is also reported that poor grades were a possible reason why the teenager killed ten people. He allegedly received a unit in history and started shooting right at the lesson. The day before, Kecmanovic had attended a school friend's birthday party. Children who also attended the event say he behaved normally. They did not notice anything suspicious in his behavior.
