“We are not attacking Putin or Moscow. We are fighting on our land and defending our villages and cities,” Zelensky

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, during a visit to Helsinki, commented on the reports of the Russian authorities about the drone attack on the Kremlin. He is quoted by the newspaper Helsingin Sanomat.

According to the Ukrainian president, Kyiv does not attack Moscow and Putin, and the accusations of the Russian authorities are unfounded.

“We are not attacking Putin or Moscow. We fight on our own land and defend our villages and cities. Even for this, we do not have enough weapons. Therefore, we do not use it there. For us, this is defense. We cannot waste it. We did not attack Putin, we will leave him to the tribunal,” Zelensky said.

Finnish President Sauli Niinistö received Zelensky on May 3 at a ceremony at the palace. Since the Russian invasion, Zelenskiy has visited the US, Poland, the UK, Brussels and France.

Earlier on May 3, the press service of the Kremlin stated that Ukraine tried to strike a UAV at the Kremlin residence of Vladimir Putin at night. Press Secretary of the President of Ukraine Sergei Nikiforov denies this information, according to him, the goal of Kiev is the liberation of the occupied territories, not Moscow. Pro-Russian bloggers and officials called for strikes on Kyiv. The UN, amid reports of a drone attack on the Kremlin, called on the parties to refrain from rhetoric and actions that could lead to an escalation.
